Built for Irish companies trading with Great Britain

Whether you invoice UK clients, pay UK suppliers, or need to bridge the Ireland–UK corridor efficiently — one account covers GBP and EUR without friction.

🇬🇧

Receive GBP from UK clients

Get a real UK sort code and account number. UK customers pay you like a local — no SWIFT fees, no conversion charges on their end. Post-Brexit trade remains strong.

Pay UK suppliers in GBP

Send Faster Payments and CHAPS directly in GBP. Avoid converting EUR at your Irish bank's margin before every invoice to a UK counterparty.

🇪🇺

Maintain EUR for EU operations

Your EUR wallet has a dedicated IBAN. Send SEPA payments across 36 European countries — Ireland's EU membership means full SEPA access from day one.

🌐

Bridge the Ireland–UK corridor

Ireland and the UK share one of Europe's busiest trade corridors. A dedicated GBP account removes friction and currency drag from every cross-border transaction.

🧾

Separate UK revenue from Irish books

Keep UK income clean and distinct for accounting and tax purposes. Integrations with Xero and QuickBooks help reconcile GBP revenue automatically.

💳

Corporate cards for UK travel

Issue cards for UK trips, London conferences, or GBP-billed subscriptions. Spend directly from your GBP balance — no conversion on every transaction.

Common questions from Irish companies

Can an Irish Ltd or DAC open a UK business account?
Yes. Irish Private Companies Limited by Shares (Ltd) and Designated Activity Companies (DAC) can apply, as can Unlimited Companies and PLCs. You do not need a UK-registered entity — your Irish company applies directly using its CRN from the Companies Registration Office. No UK address is required.
Has Brexit affected Irish companies' ability to open UK accounts?
Brexit has not made it harder for Irish companies to open UK business accounts. The Ireland–UK trade corridor remains one of Europe's busiest, and Irish companies have strong, well-established commercial reasons to hold GBP accounts. UK-regulated payment providers continue to onboard Irish companies without restrictions. Being English-speaking also removes translation barriers common for other EU applicants.
Can I hold both EUR and GBP in the same account?
Yes. The account supports multiple currency wallets. GBP comes with a real UK sort code and account number for domestic UK payments. EUR has a dedicated IBAN for SEPA transfers across Europe. You can hold, send, and receive in both currencies without unnecessary conversion.
Is the account FCA regulated?
Payment services are provided by Gemba Finance Limited, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (FRN: 804853). ARIDANG acts as an introducer to Gemba Finance Limited.
How long does it take to open a UK account from Ireland?
With a complete application, typically same day to 24 hours. The application is fully online — no appointments, no in-person visits, no notarisation required. Irish passport verification is digital.
